Attention:
– With a Level II certificate, experience must include time at Level I or equivalent. If an individual is assessed directly to Level II without any time at Level I, the required experience must include the total time required for Levels I and II and the training period must include the total hours are required for tier I and tier II.
With Level III certification, the experience required must include the total time required for Level I and Level II, plus time related to the education, training and experience requirements for NDT Level III. The required formal training period must include the duration of Level I and Level II, plus any additional training identified in the host institution’s written process.
INFORMATION OF NDT STAFF ASSESSMENTS AND CERTIFICATIONS
CLASS I, II STANDARDS SNT-TC-1A
- New student
- General theory test (LTC): 40 multiple-choice questions, duration 60 minutes
- Intensive theory test (LTCS): 20 multiple-choice questions, duration 60 minutes
- Practical exam (TH) :
- Ultrasound-UT test method, radiographic method-RT: 02 test samples, duration 180 minutes
- Liquid penetration test method-PT, magnetic particle test method-MT, visual test method-VT: ✌02 test samples, time 120 minutes
- Certification conditions:
Average test score = 80 points and all theory tests 70 points, practical tests 80 points
- Extended student
- Specialized theory test (LTCS): 20 multiple-choice questions, test time is 60 minutes
- Practical exam (TH) :
- Ultrasound-UT test method, radiographic method-RT: 02 test samples, duration 180 minutes
- Liquid penetration test method-PT, magnetic particle test method-MT, visual inspection method-VT: 02 test samples, time 120 minutes
- Conditions for granting the renewal certificate:
Average test score = 80 points and theory test 70 points, practical test 80 points

- Basic exam (B): 55 multiple choice questions, time 100 minutes
- Method test (M): 65 multiple choice questions, duration 120 minutes
- Specific-intensive test (S): 20 multiple-choice questions, duration 60 minutes

Average test score = 80 points and all tests 70 points
