On June 8, 2024, at the headquarters of the Center for Non-Destructive Evaluation (NDE) – Vietnam Atomic Energy Institute, the opening ceremony of the non-destructive testing (NDT) level II training course for technical and quality management of Viettel Aerospace Institute (VTX), Military Industry and Telecommunications Group (Viettel) took place.
Continuing from previous training courses, Viettel Aerospace Institute has trusted and carried on cooperating with the NDE Center to organize the 4th training course on NDT for the VTX’s staff with Liquid Penetrant Testing/PT, Magnetic Particles Testing/MT and Visual Testing/VT.

The opening ceremony was attended by many important delegates:
- PhD. Hoang Sy Than – Head of Planning and Scientific Management Department, Vietnam Atomic Energy Institute (Vinatom).
- Ms. Dang Thi Thu Hong – Deputy Director, in charge of the Center for Non-Destructive Evaluation (NDE).
- Mr. Nguyen Ba Dung – Head of Mechanical Processing Technology Control Department, Center for Mechanical and Manufacturing Technology, Viettel Aerospace Institute.

Objectives and significance of the training course
VTX has successfully implemented many important projects, including very new, difficult and complex fields for Vietnam as well as the world. Therefore, training highly qualified personnel is the VTX’s top goal. With a team of lecturers and experts according to international standards, the Center for NDE insists and commits to perform training well, contributing to improving the capacity of technical and quality management staff of VTX.
During the opening ceremony, trainees listened to speeches from delegates:
PhD. Hoang Sy Than emphasized the importance of training high-quality personnel in the field of NDT and provided trainees and staff of the NDE Center with plans and intentions for cooperation between Vinatom and the Viettel Group in the near future on energy projects & Chip factory projects. Hopefully, in the coming time, Vinatom and its members will have more cooperation and collaboration, contributing to the overall success and development of not only the defense sector but also the nuclear power sector in the future.
Ms. Dang Thi Thu Hong shared about the role of the NDE Center in bringing NDT inspection technologies and techniques to improve technical capacity and contribute to management, product quality in general and in the field of defense technology in particular.
Mr. Nguyen Ba Dung shared his learning experience at the NDE Center when attending the first training courses (since 2016) and encouraged trainees to complete the course with good results, contributing to job’s increasingly high requirements in the near future
Activities after the opening ceremony
Delegates and trainees visited the theoretical and practical classrooms, and began the training course activities. The course is expected to last from June 8, 2024 to June 22, 2024.
This training course is an important part of the strategy to improve human resource quality of VTX, contributing to ensuring the success of projects and sustainable development of Vietnam’s aerospace industry.
